Orangewood Foundation was founded in 1981 and today is one of the leading providers of services to foster and community youth in Orange County. Foundation programs focus on four critical areas: health & wellness, housing, life skills & employment, and education. Recognizing that 46% of foster youth do not graduate from high school, in August 2013 the Foundation opened Samueli Academy, a free public charter high school for community, underserved and foster teens and located in Santa Ana. In June 2017, our inaugural graduating class had a 99% graduation rate with 97% of students continuing on to college. Annually, Orangewood Foundation serves almost 2,000 foster and community youth. Help finance an unforgettable trip for six Lighthouse residents and three staff to Big Bear. The Lighthouse is a transitional housing program that supports survivors of sex trafficking. This trip gives an opportunity for our youth to venture out and experience something new. This will be the first time most of the residents will see snow.

The cost of the trip will include a three-day and two-night stay in a cabin, ski/snowboarding lessons and rentals, along with food and gas for the trip.
